hkupwithrespect is a youth-driven social media project to promote healthy teen relationships and reduce dating violence. Our guerilla marketing stunts, interactive blog series, and video journals deal with everything from cyberbullying to sexting and give youth the tools they need to hook up with respect.

The Production Assistant will support all aspects of hkupwithrespect.com from creative development to video editing.

Required: Fluency in social networks. Sense of humor is absolutely mandatory, no exceptions. Must write good. Teenagers must like you. Ability to engage, without a shred of hesitation, in guerilla marketing stunts.  Preferred: Videography; Final Cut; tumblr; Analytics

Outreach Assistant: Passport to Social Media

hkupwithrespect believes that parents provide the most powerful public health message to encourage their kids to choose healthy relationships. But, many parents feel ill equipped to navigate social media and help their children make positive choices in cyberspace. Hkupwithrespect Passport to Social Media will help parents negotiate social networks and empower their teens to keep it respectful in the cyber and real world.

The Production Assistant will support the development and implementation of Passport to Social Media including program development, conducting workshops and blog maintanence.

Required: Fluency in social networks. Sense of humor is absolutely mandatory, no exceptions. Must write good. Confident and dynamic public speaker. Parents must like you. Preferred: Program planning; knowledge of violence prevention frameworks (theoretical and practical).

For both positions,  we are looking for folks who can commit to 10 hours a week. Flexible schedule, some evenings and weekends. Hourly rate: $10/hr. Fringe: YouTube celebrity and associated bragging rights and the opportunity to rock out with awesome people.
